Décoratif vase, amethyst

Moulded on the base of the Décoratif vase are the words MADE IN FRANCE. Our research has, as yet, proved inconclusive as to maker.

The style is pure Art Deco, with its stepped forms and sweeping curves; the iridescence is spectacular, despite being a little inconsistent. Blow moulded with a ground top.

The French bulbous vases - Décoratif and Art Deco avec Rectangles - have some similarities to the bulbous vases from Czechoslovakia (but they are from a different maker).
