Dugan clearly intended Wishbone and Spades and Four Flowers should be seen as complementary patterns. The ad below is from Butler Brothers' Mid-Spring, 1911 edition and shows the two patterns together as a "Cake Plate Set".

The catalogue shows the sets being seven pieces: one chop plate (interestingly, described as an "11 inch dish") with six small serving plates.
The Wishbone and Spades chop plate is not illustrated in the ad.

This combination (quite naturally) represents the relative availability of these two sizes of plates today: the small plates are relatively more available than the chop plates.

The Wishbone and Spades chop plate shown here (above), courtesy of Margaret and Stephen Jones, was found in England. It is extremely rare in peach opal, with only a small number being known. A wonderful find.
