This previously unreported Carnival Glass pattern was discovered in Argentina by Jorge Perri and (the late) Jorge Duhalde. In the form of a lidded butter dish, this splendid item has been named by them as Stippled Clover and Gothic. Above right, you can see the catalog illustration of the item in the Brockwitz Musterbuch, dating from circa 1915. We know that Brockwitz was making Carnival in or even before 1915, but there is no definite indication in the catalogue of this item being produced in Carnival at that time.
We cannot find any other shape in this pattern in the Brockwitz catalogs. A splendid find.
The catalogue illustration gives the impression that the pattern is on the outside of the lid. It is in fact on the inside of the lid - see below left - which is common to several other European butters. The pattern can in fact be seen rather subtly, through the lid. The pattern is also on the underside of the base, see below right.
