TOUR GUIDE

Rose of Paradise - Maker Unknown

Made of relatively thin glass with exquisitely lovely hand enamelling, the Rose of Paradise tumbler is a beauty. The paint work is carefully done and has been applied with a delicate touch.

This scarce tumbler is known on green base glass and also (with a different rose design) on clear glass. It stands 4 inches high and measures 2.25 inches across the base. A matching water pitcher for the green tumbler is known, and has a cream coloured rose in addition to a beautiful pink one.

The maker is not known, but it is quite possible that these items were made in Europe, possibly Bohemia.
