Marigold; Smoke

Rococo Waves was named by the late Frank Horn (in the UK).

This impressive and magnificent oil lamp was only known in smoke Carnival Glass for many years. We were thrilled when Dick and Sherry Betker wrote to show us the beautiful marigold one that they had found. They tell us that on the chimney is "Bec-Soleil" Ditmar. WIEN” and on the wick adjuster is "Parfait". There are no markings on the brass anywhere.

It’s felt that the lamp is late 19th century or early 20th century, and believed to have been produced in Europe. The maker is as yet unknown.

The pictures of the marigold Rococo Waves on this page are all courtesy of Dick and Sherry.
