The tall, columnar, stately vase (shown above) featuring alternate plain and geometric patterned panels, was a mystery for many years until we discovered it in the Rindskopf catalogues (see "A Century of Carnival Glass", 2001).
The vase has the pattern #1082 and was made both slightly flared and straight sided. Three heights were produced: 13 cm., 21 cm. and 30 cm. These approximately equate to: 5 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches. The 8 inch size is currently the only one reported in Carnival.
This rare bowl (above, top left) is recently reported by Janet and Graham Dickson and is the first and only known example to our knowledge. The bowl shape was only shown in Rindskopf's 1915 catalogue (and not any of the later ones that we are aware of) thus it seems highly possible that this item was one of Rindkopf's early pieces.
Around 15 shapes in the Cane Panels pattern are shown in their 1915 catalogue; only a few shapes were carried on, and the bowl was not one of them.
